Hydro Excavation

AIMS utilizes hydro excavation techniques as a safe and non-destructive alternative to conventional methods of hard digging. Our qualified and competent operators, in conjunction with our state-of-the-art equipment, help you improve productivity, safety and keep costs down while mitigating damages.

Hydro excavation is also commonly referred to as “daylighting, potholing, and non-destructive excavation.” High pressure water is injected into the soil where it is loosened and then vacuumed into a debris tank, safely exposing what is underneath the earth’s surface. Our tanks, water, vacuum and debris tanks are all contained on one vehicle.

In some circumstances, air can be utilized to excavate with instead of water. Utilizing air allows the excavated soil to be reused as backfill.
